Testing the Peptide Testers
Why you have to take Finnrick Ratings with a grain of salt when they use Krause Analytical?
Finnricks use of Krause Analytics for Peptide Testing Is Questionable

Short Version: Watch the video at the end. Krause differed from Chromate and Janoshik.

A few months ago I became aware of Finnrick, a company that aimed to transform the peptide industry by testing and rating peptide vendors based on several factors. Their business model worked by having customers send in vials to them, and they would then send them out to testing laboratories for a mass/purity test. They would then use the results to score the companies based on how the samples tested and several other factors including whether they had batch identification and how the test mass results measured up versus the stated mass on the value. For instance, if the the vendor said it was a 24mg vial and it tested either at 20mg or 28mg, they would be penalized. That’s right they are penalized for overfill and underfill.

Anyway, back to the story. Sometime in June, I notice that one of the vendors I had purchased from had a really low score on Finnrick. When I went to look at the COA, the tester, Krause Analytical, had said that the sample was underfilled. This didn’t seem right to me. This vendor had multiple levels of testing. It had three vials tested by the vendor, then three vials tested by customers. I was able to look up the batch number and the results were several mg lower than what Janoshik tested. It got me think… was this a one off mistake, was Janoshik wrong, did Krause Analytical have a problem.

By this time, I was well into my peptide hoarding phase. I had multiple kits of Retatrutide from different manufacturers in my freezer. I was also already on TikTok by this time, so I decided I would use my own stock to perform an experiment. I wanted to test the testers.

I contacted Finnrick and asked politely if I sent in four of the same batch would they be willing to send them to four different laboratories. They agreed.

There was a whole bunch of waiting, but let’s skip to the end.

Bottom Line, Janoshik tested 9 different vials of this batch at around 30mg in Vendor and customer testing. Finnrick sent one vial to Janoshik, who again tested it at around 30mg. Chromate tested it at 30mg for Finnrick as well. Finnrick sent two vials to Krause Laboratories who tested both of them at 26mg. This is a full 15% difference.

After I posted this video, multiple people have contacted me pointing out further discrepancies between Krause Analytical and other companies mass readings on COA.

You can watch the full video for more details.
